Pipi Dance

Inspired by the kai-gathering traditions of Māketu, Pipi Dance by Angie Belcher is a heartwarming story of discovery, family fun, and the joy of passing down knowledge to the next generation. Lily Uivel’s charming illustrations perfectly bring to life the playful shuffle-and-twist dance of a mother and son collecting pipi on the beach. I designed the cover and internal text layout for both the English and te reo Māori editions of this 32-page softcover book. Hired by SmartWork Creative, published by Scholastic New Zealand.
